An
Introduction To
The
Pre-Orthodontic Guidance Program
Once your child has been identified as a possible candidate for orthodontic treatment and has been placed in a reevaluation program to follow their growth and development, appropriate corrective measures can be initiated. We have recently initiated a new program for our reevaluation patients that you may want to consider. We call it our Pre-Orthodontic Guidance Program or POG. Throughout this program, we will continue to monitor your child's tooth and jaw development until an optimum development stage has been reached to begin active treatment. Your POG program may include:
- Treatment records to determine the present dental development
- An orientation visit to acquaint you with any further treatment recommendations
- Recommendations for possible primary (baby) tooth removal by your family dentist or surgeon
- Possible interceptive treatment if conditions warrant it (any fees will be determined at that time)
- This Pre-Orthodontic Guidance Program has a one time charge, which will be subtracted from your treatment fee when you are ready to begin treatment
- The total fee is nonrefundable if the patient moves away, transfers, or needs no further treatment
- Your appointments will be at approximately six-ten month intervals until orthodontic treatment is started
- If you decide to sign up for the POG Program at the time of your visit, or within one week of that visit, your fees for that days appointments will be waived
If you decide not to participate in POG, then you will be placed on reevaluation at a future time.
We hope you will find the POG Program to be a very efficient way to manage your child's pre-orthodontic supervision. If you have any questions, please refer to our contact page. Thank you for your careful consideration of this program and the trust and confidence you have placed in our office to make your child's smile the very best it can be.
