Happiness is having your braces removed and treatment completed on time! That would be exciting for the parents, patients and doctor. Your smile will look the nicest if you:

1. Never miss scheduled appointments.
   
2. Keep your teeth super clean.
   
3. Avoid eating things that may damage or break your braces and appliances.
   
4. Follow directions given to you for how to care for your appliances, braces, etc.
5. WEAR your appliances and headgear at least as many hours as the doctor prescribes.

We have developed an appreciation plan for our patients who strive to do "their very best" to keep their teeth clean, keep their appointments and follow directions on wearing, cleaning, and caring for their orthodontic appliances and braces. We call this reward our WOODEN NICKEL PROGRAM.

You can earn up to 3 wooden nickels each appointment, but it is not easy! You must:

1. Earn at least an A- toothbrushing grade (1 wooden nickel)
   
   AND
   
   
2. Be ON TIME for your appointments, do not call 24 hours or less to reschedule your appointment, and wear your appliance, headgear or elastics as directed. (1 wooden nickel) In addition, there must not be any broken or loose brackets, bands and/or appliances
   
   AND
   
   
3. Wear your Dr. Bob T-shirt the day of your appointments.
   (1 wooden nickel)
